C3's random comment while we were reading neither of the abovementioned novels on the couch today.
Choccy fish for correct ID of the novels...and while I'm at it I MIGHT remember to finally send the choccy fish for Kate and Sharon from last year!

Karen - I don't think Kate realises how blond her comment was - and then even R14 didn't know - although in fairness to her she may not have been given the full information....
Oh hey - just to let you know, I am pregnant (and VERY sick). I am 8 weeks - due Dec 11 (unforunately the girls have been 14 days late..)

lol. didn't realise the cryptic clue had only *one* answer, but now you mention it, Charlotte does ring a bell as Laura's dolly.
oh, and Woozie says in The House in the Prairie Laura gets the porcelain doll for Christmas.
