If you'd told me ten years ago that I'd be obsessed with knitting, especially soakers for over cloth nappies... I'd have never believed it!

Aaah...but it is only the tip of the iceberg.

I am learning to crochet...I only wish my Oma was still alive to teach me!

I want to make a tea cosy and am seriously thinking of scrounging my mil's china tea cups and saucers and a teapot for afternoon high tea!

I am proud of the fact that most of my kids clothes are hand me downs and opshop finds!

My husband made my day when he bought me a dvd yesterday...Season One of Little House on the Prairie...and I watched three episodes at 5 am this morning rather than going back to bed after feeding bubs!

I am trying out raw muesli for breakfast tomorrow...and a mill is on my wishlist.

My hubby surely must wonder what is coming along next.

Welcome to my little corner of the world. I am sitting here in my tartan pj's listening to silence...ahhh!

It is THAT time of night. The kids are all in bed, J has popped out for an hour and I am relaxing! I think this has got to be my favourite time of day. As much as I love my children, I am so happy when they head off to bed after planting smoochy, slimy kisses on everyone in the family.

So here I am, starting a blog of the crazy things that go round in my head every day. So...humour me.

Vital Statistics...

Karen 33...former school teacher...who is into home educating,
contented mama of four children....who only wanted two,
living the quiet life in a little house with my Grandmother's old couches and crocheted rugs covering the holes...who always wanted to be stylish and modern,
happy sahm....who always intended to work out of home at least part-time,
married to a fabulous man...this dream hasn't changed!

J 32...my patient, kind, loyal, handsome, gracious husband...I never can quite work out how he puts up with my loony ways!

O almost 5...my sweet, funny, wacky, thoughtful, sensitive boy

A just 2...my fiery, red-headed, mischievious, gumboot-loving, cautious princess

C just2...my super-happy or super-sad, adventurous, talkative, smoochy rascal.

E 8 weeks...my bonny, big, smily, mellow nursling
